How can I volunteer for PTO events?
PTO relies heavily on parent volunteers who donate their time to help make our events a success. To sign up to receive periodic volunteer requests via email please click here.
How do I become a PTO member?
The simple answer is to attend! Attend meetings, events, and other fundraisers. If you are interested in running for an official position on the PTO, please fill out the form below or talk to us at the next general assembly meeting. We’re looking forward to having you involved!
Can anyone attend PTO meetings?
If you are the parent of a student that attends Knox Gifted Academy, of course! It’s parental involvement like yours that helps us achieve the success we strive for every year.

Are my donations tax deductible?
Donations to the KGA PTO are eligible for a tax deduction. The tax deduction is claimed when filing your Arizona State Income Tax Return.
KGA PTO is a member of the Chandler School Boosters, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation (tax id #35-2451830)
What does the PTO do with fundraising dollars?
Funds raised by the PTO are essential and fund things used everyday by KGA students like computers, classroom materials, shade structures and playground equipment. The donations support the entire PTO budget, which is responsible for events, meetings, and other needs that may arise. Click here to view past purchases by the PTO.
I want to volunteer, but I never know ahead of time if I will be available. How can I help?
We completely understand. Just send us a message and let us know you would like to be considered for anything that comes up. We’ll do our best to reach out to all of our potential volunteers with enough time to plan. If you can’t make it, no big deal, we’ll catch you next time!
